Mountain bikes have always been at the forefront of  cycling technology.  These are complicated pieces of equipment that need to be serviced properly and regularly in order to have years of enjoyment with them. Even a mountain bike sitting in your garage for a year needs to be serviced

 

Fork: Full Service $175

  • $125 for bikes purchased at 718 Cyclery and for local NYC Bike Shops
  • Thorough inspection of fork for damage and/or wear.
  • Complete tear down and rebuild of damper, including new seals and oil.
  • New dust wipers and foam rings.
  • New air piston and air piston seal (if necessary).
  • Rebuild TALAS system with new seals and oil (if applicable).
  • Fork bushings will be replaced (if necessary)..
  • Price includes insured return shipping from 718 Suspension Lab to you

 

Rear Shock: Full Service $145

  • $95 for bikes purchased at 718 Cyclery and for local NYC Bike Shops
  • Thorough inspection of shock for damage and/or wear.
  • Complete tear down and rebuild of damper, including new seals, oil, and nitrogen recharge (if applicable).
  • New air seals (if applicable).
  • New Eyelet Hardware is available upon request at an additional charge.

Dropper Post: Full Service $105

  • $75 for bikes purchased at 718 Cyclery and for local NYC Bike Shops
  • Thorough inspection of shock for damage and/or wear.
  • Price includes insured return shipping from 718 Suspension Lab to you

 

Service Interval: Fork

  • Every Ride: Clean exterior with mild soap and water only, then wipe dry with a soft towel.
  • Regularly: Check sag and damper settings. Inspect your product for visual damage and function of all controls.
  • Every 125 Hours of riding/Yearly (whichever comes first): Full fork service (Full internal/external inspection, damper rebuild, air spring rebuild, bath oil and wiper replacement)

 

Service Interval: Shock

  • Every Ride: Clean exterior with mild soap and water only, then wipe dry with a soft towel. Inspect your product for visual damage and function of all controls.
  • Regularly: Check sag and damper settings. Inspect your product for visual damage and function of all controls.
  • Every 125 Hours of riding/Yearly (whichever comes first): Full shock service (Full internal/external inspection, damper rebuild, air seal replacement for air shocks)

 

Service Interval: Dropper Post

  • Every Ride: Clean upper tube and inspect for scratches
  • Every 100 Hours/Yearly, or whichever comes first: Remote and hose bleed. Keys, topcap seals, and seal head replacement
  • Every 200 Hours/Biannually, or whichever comes first:  Complete seatost overhaul

 

Note

For those who ride lift-accessed DH, Park, or Extreme Freeride or in extremely wet/muddy or dry/dusty environmental conditions where trail debris is sprayed onto the fork or shock while on the trail, FOX encourages riders to perform maintenance earlier than recommended above as needed. If you hear, see, or feel something unusual, stop riding immediately and contact a FOX Authorized Service Center for proper servicing.
